The Process

How HIRP Works

Three phases. Clear benchmarks. Built for the demands of hockey.

Protect & Restore

Phase 1 — Weeks 0–12

Reduce swelling, regain full range of motion, rebuild quad activation, and establish your strength foundation. Pain-free movement comes first — every milestone is objective and measurable. You pass tests, not just time checkpoints.

Rebuild Strength & Power

Phase 2 — Months 3–6

Progressive loading, single-leg strength benchmarks, lateral stability, and explosive power development. You pass objective limb symmetry tests before advancing. No guessing, no rushing — real numbers only.

Return to Ice

Phase 3 — Months 6–12+

Hockey-specific skating mechanics, edge work, stops and starts, battle drills, and full contact criteria. Sport-specific benchmarks tell you exactly when you're ready to play — and when you're not. No vague clearances. Clear, objective standards.
